At Brownlee Whitlow & Praet, we assist clients with the purchase and sale of multifamily communities throughout the United States. When those communities are outside of North Carolina, we associate with local counsel for compliance with local title and legal requirements.
We apply the depth of our experience closing the sale and purchase of multifamily communities, our experience counseling multifamily communities on a daily basis and providing litigation representation, and our involvement with local, state and national Apartment Associations to each multifamily purchase and sale. This allows us to structure purchase and sale contracts for multifamily communities to better meet our clients' needs, particularly with respect to due diligence items, timelines, buyer/seller representations and warranties, and post-closing "true ups."
Additionally, the depth of our multifamily transactional practice has made us familiar with the requirements of many lenders and the timelines under which these lenders operate. Understanding lender requirements in multifamily acquisitions and dispositions allows us to structure the contract to reduce stress during the closing process.
