Our attorneys work for you at the local, regional, state, and federal levels even when you have not yet retained them. They sit on and chair committees at the regional level such as the Triangle Apartment Association Government Affairs Committee, New Lease on Life Program. They act as counsel and board members to regional apartment associations and sit on the Board of Directors of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association, the Charleston Apartment Association, the Wilmington Apartment Association, the Apartment Association of Western North Carolina, and the Apartment Association of North Carolina. They are also involved on a national level sitting on the National Apartment Association’s Legislative Committee, National Apartment Association PAC Trustees, and the Affordable Housing Committee. Further, our attorneys regularly assist the multifamily apartment industry by taking part in the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Federal lobbying days.

Our attorneys also provide instruction and teaching at the local, state, and national apartment association levels as well as providing “in-house” training for our clients on topics including fair housing, National Apartment Certifications, South Carolina Property Manager certification, lease instruction, legal issues training and many more topics. Our attorneys are also the National Apartment Association Click & Lease attorneys for both North Carolina and South Carolina. In this role they annually review the NAA leases and provide suggested revisions based on changes in the law and the changing needs of our clients.
